UBE Machinery Corporation Receives Order for UH4500 Ultra-Large Die Casting Machine for Giga Casting

UBE Machinery Corporation, Ltd. (President: Hironori Miyauchi; Head Office: Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture; hereinafter, “UBE Machinery”), the core company of the UBE Group’s machinery business, has received an order for an ultra-large die casting machine for giga casting with a clamping force of 4,500 metric tons. Giga casting is a die casting technology that uses aluminum alloy to integrally mold large automotive body structural components. The order was placed by Yamada Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (President: Masaru Sato; Headquarters: Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture).

The UH4500, part of the two-platen UH Series introduced in May 2025, is the specific model ordered for this project. It is scheduled to be delivered, installed, and handed over to Yamada Manufacturing’s Isesaki Division (Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture) by the end of March 2027.

UBE Machinery offers four models of ultra-large die casting machines for giga casting applications: the UH4500, UH7300, UH9000, and UB6500iV2. This order marks the first time the UH4500 has been selected by a customer. ■Giga casting

Giga casting is a casting technology that uses ultra-large die casting machinery to integrally cast single-piece automotive body structure parts that previously consisted of multiple pieces. It can significantly reduce the number of parts and manufacturing processes compared to conventional methods.
