VR traveling screen

UBE handles the design, manufacture and sale of systems to remove various objects from seawater, including jellyfish, shellfish and seaweed. Used at water intakes of power generating plants, water is normally passed through a bar screen and then fed into the water screen. A variety of types are available for varying screens. Since delivering our first unit in 1954, we have established ourselves as a leader in the field, with deliveries of over 2000 units to hold the majority of the Japan market.

• VF type : The most common design, collected material is recovered from the front surface using sprayed water (located upsteam).

• VD type : Superb recovery performance makes it widely utilized in power generating plants, along with the VF type.

• Bucket screen : Uses specially designed buckets to minimize water depth differences across the screen, while delivering maximum recovery performance.
