Often installed on the upstream side of water intakes of power generating plants, with a traveling screen on the downstream side, providing a stable and continuous supply of clean seawater economically and efficiently. Available in both fixed and rotating types, both with fully-automatic, unattended operation.

• Rotating bar screen : Bars are mounted continuously between two driven chains, and bars rotated to collect foreign matter. This is the most widely used design.

• Bar screen with rotating rake : Foreign matter stopped by the fixed bars are collected by the rotating rakes, mounted at a constant pitch between the driven chains.
